Mooting Masterclass

Wednesday, 18 November 2026
4:00–6:00 PM
University of Birmingham

Step into the courtroom and develop the skills required to become a confident advocate.

The Mooting Masterclass, delivered in collaboration with ELSA Birmingham at the University of Birmingham, is an interactive session designed to strengthen your understanding of mooting and oral advocacy.

The session will cover the essential elements of effective mooting, including structuring legal submissions, presenting persuasive arguments, responding to judicial questions and developing confident courtroom advocacy. Whether you are completely new to mooting or looking to refine your existing skills, the masterclass will provide practical guidance to help you approach the moot court with greater confidence.

This session is an ideal opportunity to develop advocacy skills in a practical setting, gain insight into the expectations of a moot and prepare for future mooting competitions.

This session is MANDATORY for all participants in “The Grand Moot” on 27 November 2026.
