Honouring Our Communities: Bridging the Gap Between Policing, Justice, and Black British Lives

Wednesday, 21 October 2026
4:00–8:00 pm
Venue to be confirmed

Birmingham City University is partnering with local police leadership to host an interactive panel and workshop for Black History Month, under the theme “Honouring Our Communities”.

The event explores the past, present and future of the Black community, offering an opportunity to gain insight into policing in Birmingham, ask challenging questions and recognise the contributions of Black officers and staff. It may be particularly relevant to law students interested in criminal justice, policing, equality and the relationship between communities and the justice system.

Find the event: search Eventbrite for the BCU Black History Month policing event. The registration link and venue will be added once confirmed.
